Small Hive Beetles are not usually a problem. If your hive is strong the adult bees will handle them. The can overwhelm a hive though. West type hive beetle trap

I don't know if you can attach this photo to the hive beetle conversation listed on the web site, but I thought others might be interested in my results. This is the pan from a West-type hive beetle trap after only 24 hours. I estimate 300 beetles killed in the first day! The trap was in an 8-frame hive with two deeps and two supers; each box already had a Beetle Blaster in it when this trap was installed. (Trap is from greenbeehives.com; they have build-your-own instructions in addition to assembled traps). Thanks, Steve Greer (Sorry I couldn't figure how to post an image)

Call Freeman Beetle trap http://freemanbeetletrap.com/ Get a trap and get it painted and replce your bottom board with it Wash off the comb with a hose over a screen to catch the larva and then if you still have bees in the hives dust them down with powdered sugar real good and see if you can recover the colony

Hello world!

I went to Home Depot from your farm and got paint, went home and painted both beetle busters. Painted them again yesterday. I stacked red bricke 3 high so I have 54 to use for the foundation. This morning I took apart the hive sections, placed the beetle buster on the foundation, replaced a bood box, dusted it with powdered sugar, placed the other brood box on that, dusted it with powdered sugar, placed a super on that and dusted it; then the inner cover and then the lid. I put a little over a quart of oil in the beetle buster. I got the smoker going on my own!! They haven't done anything with the super. Is this a concern? --Marsha
